Cowboy Poem

Cowboy Poem

Cracking bullwhips through the cold brittle air

Opaque clouds cover the morning sun as silence engulfs my senses

Western culture spreads though our minds like water soaks into a dry riverbed

Burly horses rearing in the dry baked dirt

Oscillating fire licking the night

Yucca leaves pierce the blazing sky

Thus is the Cowboy way….

day 4

on day 4 we went to the western heritage autry museum to learn about western heritage. the only problem was it was in L.A. and my mom used map quest and didn't do it right, we didnt merge ontothe 5 and continued onto the 101 for like quite some time until we realized n this and had to turn around. but when we got to the museum it was lunch so we ate and then we went in, the museum was about the history of cowboy in life and in the movies. we learned and saw a bunch of different stage props ranging from china town to a street from the 1800's.

days 2-3

i was absent those days do to some serious sickness

day 1

on the first day of intersession we got right into it, we were taught how to use a bull whip and all sorts off other assorted thing like arching, roop tricks, and lassoing. after going to the park and doing all this for about 2-3 hours. when we got back we did some traditional western cooking, like some beans , biscuits , and chili. we also cooked some cinnimonrolls.
